Game of the Year

Another year in gaming, another game of the year list.  So many game came out this year but which one really stood out to win the G.O.T.Y. award from me.  These are the games that I thought was the best games that was release this year.  It will be only for the console that I have and the games that I played. So now let see what made the list.

XBOX 360 Exclusive - None?

I didn't have the chance play any indie game for the Xbox 360 and the only exclusive that was release for the system was Gears of War: Judgement.  I don't feel like it deserve the G.O.T.Y. award for the Xbox 360 exclusive. On to the next one...

PS3 Exclusive - The Last of Us

The Last of Us was just a masterpiece.  The story of Joel and Ellie was perfect from the first time they met, til the of the game.  I haven't be so drawn into a story since forever. The best part was that I didn't think it was going to be as good as it turn out to be.  The zombie was done so perfectly.  So perfectly that I wouldn't call them zombie's.  You fear for Joel and Ellie, when you see a group of them together in one area. Even the people that you meet, makes you fear for their lifes and makes your heart race.   Naughty Dog's twist on the old fashion zombie was just that amazing. As well as the whole setting of a world infested by them.  Favorite line, Ellie, "Come get me, Mother-F***er!"

3DS - Fire Emblem: Awakening

I know Zelda: A Link bewteen Worlds is out, but Fire Emblem is the game that I would go back and play after playing any other 3DS game.  It's so good, I download it from the Nintendo Eshop so I don't have to keep switching cartridges.  The game's classic mode is what brings you in and keep you there.  Classic mode let your characters suffer the fate of permanent death.  Which just add to the replay value and there is alot of character you can use through out the game.  The story is just as great.  You began by creating yourself and than the story puts you into a intense battle. Like WOW! Favorite line, Lon Qu, "He gives order, I stab people. I think our role is clear."

Xbox 360/PS3 - Grand Theft Auto V

What is there to say about Grand Theft Auto V. Cost 200+ million to make, made that money back plus more in 3 day of sale.  It was will worth that 200+ million production cost. Los Santos is the most alive open sandbox game ever made.  The city is fill with cars, the beach is fill with people just walking about, the outer city is quiet.  Rockstar didn't stop there, because the best part of the game is all the small things that they added. From knock the glass of someone you just punch, to people taking picture of your pimp out ride with their smartphone when you pull up.  Not to say the story is just mediocre, no it is nicely done.  Giving that you have to switch between 3 different character, and keeping the story to move on as smooth as butter.  Even giving you a chance to play different role when doing a heist.  Switch between the character gives you a feel of teamwork between the character.  Favorite line, Trevor, "I gotta f*** someone, do you want me to f*** you"

That's all everyone, Thanks for taking the time to read my G.O.T.Y. post. Leave a comment how i can improve and what did you like.  Did you think its a fair list?

Pokemon X Review

It time to pick a new starter and become the champion again everyone.  If you play any Pokemon game before you know how the game work but the question is, is it worth making it all over again.  Here is my review on Pokemon X!!

Pokemon X and Y is the first Pokemon game on the 3DS and it is amazing.  The transfer couldn't be better.  The graphic was greatly improved.  The regular battle animation is done beautiful, making you feel the power of every move.  The world is just as great.  While you travel, there is flower, building, that make the world more full than just grassy patches to catch Pokemon.  It truly a plus to give us more to look at. We all know how it can get boring with all the grinding to level up your Pokemon but Pokemon X and Y has made it easier for us, if anything, too easy.  From a very early part of the game, you 'll exp.share but this time, it share exp between all your  Pokemon, making it easier for all of us.  There are other things at are added to the game also, like super training allowing you to give your Pokemon that extra power that they need, but the best feature to me is the Gobal Trading Services.  GTS allow you to look for any Pokemon, as well as putting up a Pokemon to trade.  Example, I wanted a scizor, i search Scizor, and someone wanted a Hunter, so I just trade my Hunter for Scizor.  The best part is that they don't have to be online for the trade to go through.  So that make's catching them all easier than ever.  Plus Nintendo is gong to release Poke'bank so that if you have any Pokemon on Pokemon Black 2 or White 2, can store all your Pokemon in the bank and transfer them to your version of Pokemon X and Y.  This is a great game where for the first time, I put over 100hr into.

FINAL RATING: BUY IT!!

The Hobbit:The Desolation of Smaug

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the second film of the Peter Jackson adaptation of The Hobbit came out last weekend. Is it better than The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey or is it just another cash grab. Well I caught it and these are my thoughts.

The movie was good, but not great.  Before I go on reviewing the movie, I going to let you know what I thought of The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey in one word.  SLOWWW... Yes it was very slow, every scene was being drag out to make the movie longer.  With that said, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is just as slow or slower with no rhyme or reason.  Scene's feels force or it just to show new CGI technology or to show how vest the world is.  Dialog are just as waste of time, there are no big speech or line that add to the action or the motive of the characters.  There's one scene where one of the dwarfs try to tell the Okenshield that he change and how he become someone who is greedy, a coward, but the speech was so weak that anyone of the dwarfs or even a piece of the rock can give that speech and it wouldn't change how it should effect Okenshield.  The movie also struggle with trying to fit everything together.  Instead of making it blend in together, it cut right where the action is and it slow the pace down just to cut back to the action.  Speaking of the action, they are amazing when they happen. The camera work was good, and what else can I say about Legolas being back kicking butt.  With that said, the girl elf that Peter Jackson added just for the movie really do feel force as well.  Every scene she was in, it made be feel like she don't need to be there or it just so that certain scenes work. With everything I said about the movie, it wasn't a bad film or was a great film.  It was just a okay film where I would say go catch it but you won't miss much if you don't.

Final Rating:REDBOX IT!
